    NO.
You will be working as an Area Sales Manager provided you clear all levels of Sales Trainee.
After your effective completion of MBA/PGDM course in a B-School, you will be posted as a Sales Trainee to know about every nook and corner of the market.
Then depending upon your performance as Sales Trainee, you will be posted on an appropriate location to do the job of Area Sales Manager.
But Sales Job has its own challenges and difficulties. It's not a piece of cake unless you are non-complacent and anxious about your sales growth the next day.
Are you asking this question after watching Velaikkaran Movie? :-).

Completing an MBA in marketing does not necessarily mean that you will be working as a salesperson. While sales can be a part of a marketing job, the nature of the job can vary depending on the company and position. An MBA in marketing provides you with a broad range of skills and knowledge related to marketing strategy, market research, consumer behavior, product development, branding, advertising, and digital marketing. You can apply these skills to various roles, such as:
    1. Marketing Manager: responsible for planning and executing marketing campaigns, managing budgets, overseeing market research, and analyzing consumer trends.
    2. Br

    Dear,
So far my knowledge goes, marketing and sales are inter related but not synonymous. In short, marketing deals with strategy and execution of promoting the products or services of a House whereas Sales objective is to execution of the Business Deals (of those products or services) with the customer. I think MBA in Sales & Marketing is an evergreen and valuable specialisation.

After doing MBA, at initial stage you'll get a job of a sales person. Not that door to door sales person, but B2C sales person. And then after taking some experience in that you can definitely switch to marketing profile.

Yes, this is a harsh truth of getting 100 percent placement in average b-school. Even the core marketing profile is not available in an average B-School, so they foist you in hardcore sales by giving the assurance that, in future you will get better profile or if you make more sales you will get promotion etc. Even the placement officer also know these are kind of bulk hire and fire profile year on year. Even the finance guy is given banking financial sales profile which is quiet tough, like selling mutual fund, make approach for loan in various corporate without any lead. And, if you able to sale, you can stay or fired soon. Even oper
