It is compulsory to have maths in class 12th to do MCA? Can a biology graduate do MCA?

In majority of Indian universities, one of the eligibility criteria for MCA is mathematics at class 12th. Few private deemed universities allow student without mathematics to pursue MCA. IGNOU allows non mathematics students to pursue MCA, but they have to clear additional mathematics paper along with BCA subjects. -
Distance MCA is available for class 12th non-mathematics candidates with a mathematics bridge course along with 1st year from university like IGNOU.
