It is good to do polytechnic after class 12th and then go for B.Tech for 2 years?

In general, once you complete 10th you can opt for polytechnic. Coming to your query you will lose an extra year in your academic journey.
But of course it will be easy for you in your engineering to understand the subject. Having said that, of course you should join in a good college/institute.
