dropping a year us not such a bad idea if u are dedicated and keen to take admission in iit's and niit's

if you not get admission in good college and you are willing to get admission in top most institutions of India then you can drop one year then you can get more time to prepare exam , and one year not so much matter if you want to go for top institutions today many students drop one year

Dropping a year for this reason will simply be a wastage of one year in your engineering career ahead.
