If you got over 65% in English in 12th from West Bengal, Chennai, Maharashtra, ISC, CBSE, you do not need IELTS score. Else you need IELTS for any other category.

IELTS or TOEFL score in necessary if you are applying to an university in English speaking countries like USA, Canada, UK, Australia or NZ.
