Language is nearly influencing the culture.Why?

If a person is marathi the Maharastrian culture immediately pops up and rituals ,few habits in behaviour and food selection are influenced.Even the deity is selected .Why?

Dear Surekha, You may be right surekha but i suggest you to think as Indian Culture, whenever you go out side India they wont say you are a maharashtrin, madrasi, gugrathi etc they call you an Indian. If you consider any place diversities are there, consider state Maharashtra, people will further
