M 2012 engg passout.joined cts in feb,worked for 2 mnths n left .wrote cat 13 but didnt excel. so can i drop a year more for prep?

10th-87%,12th-80% btech in cse 65% .work exp as program analyst in cognizant (2 months as it wont count).m planning to join a coaching institute and prepare well for the mba exams.so can i drop a yer more or it ll have a negative impact on mba admssn or career ahead.plzzz help thnks in advance.
