Hi, Both the courses you mentioned i.e. hotel management and BBA, are good course to pursue, and offers good career prospects and growth opportunities. If you are interested in making a career in hospitality industry, then you can go ahead with hotel management, where as if you are interested in making a career in marketing, finance or HR, than you can opt for BBA. Hi Rani, there are numerous career options with tremendous scope. As for hotel management I would say that hotels are amongst the most visible and important aspects of a country's infrastructure. To enter this field by direct entry or through hotel management institutes, minimum qualification required is 10+2. Also, you must have a good organizational background, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong commitment and self-discipline. Lots of lucrative and interesting openings are there in various fields like Hotel & Restaurant management, Airline Catering and Cabin Services, Cruise Ship Hotel Management, etc. After completing the course, a graduate is usually taken as a trainee. They may be absorbed in positions with decent salary. Choosing a stream entirely depends on your interest and personal attributes. Hi Rani, The most important thing you should keep in mind while choosing your career path is your own interests and career aspirations. So in case you feel that you want to be a part of Service industry be it back office or front office then you should opt for a degree in Hotel Management, otherwise you can go for BBA or B.Com after which you can plan your higher studies that is MBA.
