    Hi Anvesh,
There are many institute specific entrances in order to pursue M.Tech other than GATE. But, it would be advisable to opt for M.Tech after clearing GATE exam as it opens more doors of esteemed universities such as IITs, NITs, IIITs etc.
Universities offering M.Tech without GATE :
    -Aligarh Muslim University
    -Andhra University
    -Banasthali Vidyapeeth
    -Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya
    -University of Hyderabad
    -Indian Statistical Institute
    -Jawaharlal Nehru University
    -Punjabi University
    -University of Roorkee
-Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Learning
    -Anna University and many more.
    Institute Specific Entrances :
    -SRM Engineering Entrance
    ...more
