There is an interesting thing to be kept in mind when one makes a choice between the two. PG Diploma is being considered the 1st year of Master's degree in mass communication. One who has done a PG Diploma can get into the second year of mass communication PG Degree as I go to do when I did my PGD from Kurukshetra University Distance Learning. I shall also suggest a PG Diploma as this gets you a Diploma which makes you eligible to apply for jobs.

    Hello Srinivasa,
Both are considered to be good. PG Diploma is considered equivalent to a post-graduate degree, however, even by many, it is not included as a degree course. It is a Diploma course. MA is a post-graduate degree. Moreover, journalism and mass communication together is a wide topic that will cover all the aspects. It's not just limited to journalism only. You will have more options (other than a journalist). Moreover, this field requires skills, talent and a good knowledge bank. If you are ready to prove yourself in that field then go ahead.
    Thank you.

PG Diploma will be good if you want to complete soon but if you want to study more then MA would be better.
