May i know about IES?

Namastey,:) i'm a mechanical engineering student. I want to know about IES,and how it is related to GATE. Please give a described answer.

IES is exam for Indian Govt Engineering Jobs. GATE is not required here. Your BE / BTech concepts will be required in the exams.
