    The BFA is a degree that is given for certain performance fields, like theatre and music. On the other hand, B.A. Is a degree that is generally given for subjects other than performing arts, like theoretical Science humanities, and education. B.A. Programs usually have more electives and classes outside the major. BFA programs usually have more required classes. Or to put it simply, BFA programs are more tightly focused which may or may not be a good thing for a particular student.
