MBA from BIBS or Axis bank's young bankers programme which one shall I pursue?

Hi Ankit, Thanks for the query as your query states it seems that you are keen to do MBA in finance thus would like to tell you about the MBA in finance of BIBS college. BIBS has a tie up with NSE Academy and PwC for the MBA in finance. NSE would take your classes so as to help you to build your career as a finance professional and also to help you to get the desired placement. PwC would give you 6 months of training and if you perform well and then you can also get direct placement in PwC. Thanks

Hi Ankit, As per your question, you indicate a core finance job profile, hope you have 55-60% in graduation as many MNC demands for core finance job profile criteria, during our time BIBS core finance was good enough, hopefully, the same placement officer is still there. Good means I am talking about job profile and stability, in hand salary (not CTC annual package is take home salary) was not very affluent but ok for a congruous life style in Kolkata like pocket friendly city . You can take review of alumni from Quora or Linkedin profile to get the exact average in hand and job profile with its stability. Other max average colleges were foisting banking field sales job to finance guys due to lack of core profile. For 2nd option of your question, I can say only if you are ok with Sales and Target then Go ahead But There is tremendous pressure for Third Party products specially Insurance, Demat, MF, corporate credit, etc. sales. Even you need to take Loan of approx. 4 lakhs. You will need to sign a Bond so that you cannot leave Axis. The Joining and Leaving Rate is very high. (Kindly check this norm is still there or they abolished it) If you enjoy sales then you will survive If not then you will be depressed. Be ready to get scolded by your operation Manager, Branch manager, BSM, Regional and Zonal head. As per my experience, don't go for it unless and until if you had no other options left. To get the real life experience do visit 4-5 local branches of your city and try to speak to the new recruited young staff, etc. There is no Growth. Manipal banking PGDBF with Baroda, Syndicate, UCO Bank, Union Bank tie-up is good enough rather than this, need 60% graduation (check latest notification). Feel free to write.
