MBA in Healthcare Management or PGDM ,Which one would be a better option for me ?

To settle your question first I'll tell you the difference between the MBA and PGDM. MBA is a degree offered by Universities whereas PGDM is a diploma course offered by individual institutes. MBA syllabus will be changed once in 4 to 5 years whereas PGDM syllabus will be changed every year so that to make you ready for the Industry standards. So most of the companies especially MNC's will prefer PGDM graduates over MBA graduates. But this case will happen only if you complete your PGDM from a top tier college or from one of the top 20 rank college. So if you can make into one of the top 20 premier college then prefer PGDM otherwise go for MBA.

If you get elite institute after cracking entrance exam, they 'll offer you PGDM programme where as other colleges and universities offer MBA. For Hospital and Healthcare the best colleges are: Goa Institute of Management -Goa D. Y. Patil University- Navi Mumbai Jamia Hamdard University- Delhi Lovely Professional University-Punjab Tata Institute of Social Sciences-Mumbai.
