MBA or M-tec which one is better option for civil engineers?

carrer options after b-tec in civil engineering...

    It totally depends on your interest and your goal.
    MBA will help you to grow as future manager while M.Tech will help you to get in a core company. One more thing go for M.Tech only if you get the top college.

    To a large extent I would agree with MSK. the most important thing one should keep in mind while choosing his/her career path is their own interests and career aspirations.

    This decision completely depends on the person and his or her interest. Both of these course are specialized course and are offered at masters level. If a person is more interested in engineering field and want to make a career in engineering projects, then M.Tech. is the correct choice.
    But if a person is more interested in working in the management aspect of companies,than one should go for the MBA degree.
    So I think both the courses mentioned above are equally good and have excellent future prospects.

    If one is lured by the prospects of a plum management job after doing MBA, as compared to the sheer hard fieldwork done by a civil engineer,then this type of comparison is unrealistic. One has to weigh his or her own capabilities, and more importantly , the interests and aptitudes.In the beginning, it is preferable to climb the ladder the hard way up, because then is the age and the ability to bear an immense strain and hardships of the job.Then only one can learn the basics of managing that job.Thereafter, a specialised course would definitely help in understanding the advanced techniques and strategies in the SAME field.
