The students getting into the prestigious IIT's through entrance exams are mentally traumatised.
So after seeking admission into them they tend to enjoy their presence in these iit's.... More than 50% of the iit's students get placed in management sector rather than excelling in engineering sector..

Mr Narayan Murthy has been the pioneer in the software and IT industry. We must have to respect Mr. Murthy's thoughts. He is not at all a common person. He is a person who is responsible to make Infosys on top of the IT company and very well accepted by the International IT community. So he might have gone through some of his past experience and came out of this conclus

Lemme bring in a few facts here:
MBA grads are making investment decisions which is not like selling security.
Commerce grads do just the accountancy work. Analysis is handled by MBA grads.

How about an analysis of students who aspire to study engineering and technical courses abroad only. Supposedly they are confident to compete at international standards. This may have resulted in reduction in the upper top layer of IIT aspirants.

IITs have not lost the charm and that is why last year some 5.3 lakh students wrote IIT-JEE. And see the number of people who go for IIT coaching. Kota itself has around a population of some 10 lakhs preparing for IITJEE.
