Go for mechanical engineering in B.tech as it has broad prospectus however after B.tech you can go for M.Tech in automobile or may be after four years of your learning your interest may shift to other area of mechanical engineering.

Mechanical has a wider scope Anoop. Automobile is a specialized one but if you can excel in it then it will surely give better returns.

if your choice is to work for mega projects of process plants piwrr plants and equipment fabrications, choice should be for mechanical engg. you will have chance for lateral entry in Automobile sector as well.

Automobile is the best, as the schemes government has introduced (Make in India, etc) favours more job opportunities for automobile than mechanical. But, it mostly depends upon ur choice and interest. All the best!

Automobile, both are having almost same working scenarios but as far as the placements are concerned then automobile is much ahead as compared to mechanical.

Automobile is the best because it's the core study. so you just need to focus over its subjects. But yes, you will need to do hard work for it. There are so many opportunities for job .So I'm my opinion Automobile is the best. All the best.
