My aggregate score was 47%. I know it's very low, but I want to pursue MBA in finance. Can anyone please suggest me a good college?

It is very difficult because most of the Business Schools have the admission criteria as 50% aggregate in graduation for general category and 45% for SC/ST and others. Few business schools have criteria of 60% in graduation and others too.

It's really difficult to get good colleges as most of the MBA colleges have the criteria that a minimum of 50% should be there in your graduation. If you are a reserved category student then a minimum of 45% in graduation is the criteria for admission in MBA.

Most good colleges insist on a minimum of 50% score in graduation. Since you have 47% and if you belong to general category then you will not be able to apply for admission in MBA in any college. Also, you need to appear for CAT and try to score more than 85 percentile to get into a decent MBA college.

    Hi Aaryan,
For getting into MBA, your graduation score would be one of the factor of evaluation and depends on college to college. Maximum colleges ask for scoring 50% marks in graduation and your score would not be beneficial as such so I would suggest you to work hard for your entrance exams and score better in that such that it would cover up your graduation score. Or you can gain work experience of 3 years and later opt for Executive MBA.

    Dear Aryan,
I know it is the time when people give more importance to percentage scored. Instead of getting trapped yourself into some cheap institution, just try to check MBA in distance education. If you make are able to do that, you may be able to fulfill your dream. You can check with IGNOU. It is a well-established brand name in the field of distance education. The study material of IGNOU is also of international standards. For further details kindly visit:

I hope this would suffice. All the best and God bless you.
