my aim is to become an astronaut, please suggest me which course i must select after 12th standard.is astronautical engineering beneficial?

i completed 10th standard.., now i m doing my non-medical intermediate education. Is Astronautical engineering is beneficial after 12th class..?

    Astronomy, aeronautics, astronaut and aerospace ; all are different field. Again these fields are divided in science and technology. In science, you carry out research and studies and in technology, the scientific theory is implemented by actual product development.
    To become astronaut, one has to be a scientist cum pilot. For aeronautical engineering, one can do engineering in electronics, electrical, mechanical, instrumentation or computer science and later, get trained by undergoing maintenance course at the organizations like Air Force or aircraft manufacturer's MRO.
