Hi Smriti , Thanks for your answer ! I've been hearing people saying CAT is preferred over CMAT in the selection process. Like 2 candidates performed well in GD/PI, a CAT person will be given more preference , is it true? Please help. Such things leave me worried.

Yes, you have an excellent chance of receiving a call from SIMSR. Acads play a very small role in the final selection. With a good performance in GDPI, you will be able to overcome any disadvantage easily. Best of luck!

Yup, 45% weightage is given to GDPI combined. So make sure you prepare well for it and ace it. For any admission related issues or even general advice you can either ask here or email me at aniruddha.r@somaiya.edu. I'll always be glad to help. All the best!
