As 89 may be enough for qualifying but it is not sufficient to get admission in NIT or IIIT. Because it means nearly 11 percent students score more than you who give the exam (means if 10000 give the exam then your rank would be 1099). There is a special round and you can apply for it.

U have less chances of getting into nits and even if u get you won't be satisfied with the college. So try for iiits or else wait for special round.
