    Hello,
There are certain institutions which conduct their own entrance exams. For instance, Punjab Agricultural University is one of those highly esteemed universities which offers great prospects in B.Tech food technology merely just with their CET exam. This is just that you need to search the institutions which offer B.Tech in food technology without JEE. But, if one is seeking for admission in IITs or NITs, then surely JEE is the way.
    All the best.

    Hello,
In most of the colleges the admission in B.Tech courses are based on JEE (Main/Advanced) rank, hence in order to get a better college for her desire B.Tech course, your daughter must have to appear in JEE (Mains). further, for getting admission in NITs and IITs she has to score more than 75% marks in 12th examination also.
    Good luck.
