My diploma was of 2 years as I got my admission in Diploma after 12th (PCM). Will I be able to give lateral entry test of B.Tech in LPU?

Hi, The eligibility for B.Tech[Lateral Entry] is "60% in Diploma (Engg.) (any stream) (3yrs. after 10th or 2 yrs after 10+2(Non Medical)) or B.Sc (non- medical)/ B.Sc(Computer Science) or equivalent".The admissions 2020 is being done online due to the current situation i.e. COVID-19. You can take direct admission on the basis of the current score. However, you can give LPUNEST to get a maximum scholarship.LPU offers different types of scholarships on the basis of marks in either of the last two qualifications, LPUNEST, Sports, Defence, COVID-19 Frontline Scholarship, and many more. If you are eligible for more than one scholarship, only one scholarship you will get is the maximum one. The best thing is if you get the scholarship, the tuition fees after getting a scholarship will be applicable every semester.

(any stream) (3yrs. after 10th or 2 yrs after 10+2(Non-Medical)) or B.Sc (Non- medical)/ B.Sc(Computer Science) or equivalent. 1.The scholarship for which you might be eligible based on your score of last qualification. 2.Scholarship based on the performance of LPUNest , the syllabus and the paper pattern is also given on the website of LPU. 3.LPU Scholarships for international exposure courses are awarded to candidates based on their performance on certain categories. 4.Scholarship based on the National level tests of JEEMains, CAT, MAT etc. 5.LPU has introduced COVID-19 FRONTLINE Scholarship scheme worth Rs.20 Crore, to honor the selfless contribution of the COVID-19 workforce (i.e. Doctors, Nurses, Para-medical staff, Civic staff, Police personnel and others as per categories listed in the website of LPU. 6. Scholarship based on performance in Sports, Cultural, R&D, Co-curricular, Social Service and Bravery Awards 7. The eligibility criteria is 60% in Diploma (Engg.) (any stream) (3yrs. after 10th or 2 yrs after 10+2(Non-Medical)) or B.Sc (Non- medical)/ B.Sc(Computer Science) or equivalent. LPU also offers different types of scholarships on the basis of marks in either of the last two qualifications, LPUNEST, Sports, Defence, COVID-19 Frontline Scholarship, and many more. If you are eligible for more than one scholarship, only one scholarship you will get is the maximum one. The last date for admission to avail maximum scholarship is 30 june 2020. Post that the scholarships are likely to be reduced. This year the placements have been fabulous with following details: 1. Yes you can but most probably only B.Tech is offered by NIT's and IIT's don't take lateral entry. If you want to get admission in B.Tech in reputed colleges like NIT and IIT like any other student after 12th you also have to appear for entrance exam on base of your 12th degree . You need to understand there is a difference between BE and B.Tech. Anna University and Symbiosis Institute of Management and Technology offers B.Tech I hope this is helpfull.

Yes, you are eligible for admission to LPU, but for getting an admission to LPU you first have to fulfill the eligibility criteria. Pass with 60% aggregate marks in Diploma (Engg.) (any stream) 3 years after 10th Or 2 years after 10+2 (Non-Medical) Or B.Sc. (Non-Medical) Or B.Sc. (Computer Science) Or BCA or equivalent, subject to qualifying LPUNEST. On the basses of the LPUNEST test, you can avail the opportunity of a scholarship.LPU offers different types of scholarships on the basis of marks in either of the last two qualifications, LPUNEST, Sports, Defence,\and many more.
