Eligibility criteria for MBA by distance learning is graduation degree. Diploma in engineering is not equivalent to degree. Therefore your friend can not do MBA. He will have to do any degree to do MBA.

There is no need of degree. With 6 years of experience he is eligible for executive MBA. Ask your friend to complete his B.Tech. There is no need of MBA, to become a manager in the technical field.
