My friend has got 15000 category rank in JEE Mains paper 1, can he get a seat in NIT-Suratkal?

Yes, he can get metallurgical & material engineering or mining engineering in NIT-Surathkal, if his home state is not Karnataka, if he is from Karnataka then he can get better branches like mechanical, civil etc.
