my frnd went for cpt exams bt at the time of exam his attendance was missed. what he should do now ??

actually in register chart, his name was not there.... but the examiner allows him to give exam and also signed his paper... what should he have to do now ?? he went to inst. but they told that they can't do anything. his paper will be cancelled... pls advice...
