My GATE preparation is not good enough. What should I do? Should I take a risk and drop a year for GATE preparation or go for placements?

I am pursuing software engineering 2019 batch with an aggregate of 78%. I want to have a job in product based companies. Are there any colleges which take their separate exams?

I am also a GATE aspirant. According to me, if you are good in technical, then you should take a risk and drop a year rather than placement. After good GATE score, you have excellent career options. Good luck.
