My graduation in B.Sc has 6.4 cgpa. I'm planning to do B.Tech via lateral to cover it. Will companies ignore my B.Sc during placements?

No, Companies don't ignore B.Sc. Or judge your CGPA. They are only interested on how much skill do you have, how much mental and speaking ability you possess and how much a team working person you are. They will also focus on the projects you have done in your career. This is the most important one. Good Luck.
