You can get NIT but lower branches like M.Sc in physics, chemistry, maths or you can get mechanical or civil in eastern side NITs except for NIT-Silchar. You can get a good branch in NIT-Jammu and Kashmir. You can also try for NIT Kurukshetra or NIT-Hamirpur for production or textile or instrumentation engineering. You can try for newer IIITs for CSE and IT.
