If you are in the general category, then the chances of getting a seat are very bleak as the NITs closed their seats on 3000 rank for the year 2017.

Yes, you can get into an NIT. Some of the options are: NIT TRICHY, KOZHIKODE, WARANGAL AND RAIPUR. Other NITs are not offering a seat for this rank according to last year data.
