Dear Vinay, Lets go point by point:
1. Total seats in NITs in CSE is less than 12000
2. Most of the students put CSE as their first choice.
3. It looks difficult. There are good players in private sector which can still offer you a seat like SRM, VIT and LPU. I will keep LPU on top as it has best of the placements, infrastructure, technology trainings, credit transfers, teaching pedagogy, entrepreneurship projects, community projects, internships, industry certifications, industry interface, internal/external competitions, reasonable fee structure which is topped up with generous scholarships and finally placements with over 700 companie...more -

4 years agoHello Vinay, there are just about 50000 seeds in all of NIT put together. Almost 50% of these are reserved for different categories of students. Hence for others only about 25000 seats are available. Your ranking is about 54000. So you can imagine where do you stand. In addition almost every student desire CSE as his first choice. Be that as it may, I am attaching a link that can predict college and branch for you based on your performance in JEE Mains. https://www.shiksha.com/engineering/jee-main-college-predictor
