My mains score is 42 (needed 44 for st), can i get admissions in NIT?

Scored 42 mark in mains.but the cutoff for st was 44 and 75 % score in cbse board

Your score does not support an NIT but you can still try to check their sites to see the cut off.You are liable for a scholarship on the basis of your 12th marks also.So it would be better to check some colleges like RV, LPU, BITs etc for good results.
