My profile: 10th-59%, 12th- 59%, graduation - 53%, profess. qual. - CFPcm. Working exp- 1.6 years. Will my academics affect my placement?

Himanshu, first of all, you should not be worried about your acads all the time. As far as I can see, you have a wonderful work experience of more than 1.5 years. Along with that, you also have a professional qualification like Certified Financial Planner(CFP) which is an international certification program in the field of Financial Planning, wealth management, financial consultancies etc. These above 2 things are your biggest strength which I believe you can come up with rather than your weakness like acads at the time of placements. At the time of an interview, you should be smart enough to explain that acads wont help in future but my work ex will in delivering the value to an organisation. Although, few companies in finance do have a certain criteria for the selection process but that shouldn't worry you as the same is for the campus placements and not for the off campus selection.
