My rank is 10228 and want computer engineering. Can you tell me if I can get in Vellore or Chennai?

According to your rank, you will easily get VIT-Vellore in the 2nd or maximum in the 3rd round. Suppose, if 1% you didn't get Vellore then you will get Chennai easily, but I would suggest you be focused on Vellore and don't try to go with Chennai campus of VIT.

You can easily get Vellore campus in 2nd category or maximum 3rd. Whereas, in Chennai you will get it in 1st. But, don't take Chennai, if you are getting 2nd in Vellore.

According to your rank, you may or may not get in Vellore though I think you'll definitely get a seat in Chennai though it also depends on the rankings and the crowd.

You will get Chennai in Category 1. Vellore closes below 5k for CSE. Though you may get CSE in category 2 in Vellore.

With this much rank, you will get CSE with specialisation in VIT-Vellore and CSE core in VIT, Chennai. But in my opinion, better go for CSE in VIT-Chennai or IT in VIT-Vellore.
