My rank is 15685 in JEE Main. Can I get a seat in NIT? I would like to go for Biotech. What is the scope of Biotech in India?

Yes, you can get a seat and even branches like ECE, IT mechanical and others. If you want to go for biotechnology, then you will surely get it. Biotechnology is good but try to do it from a reputed college. Try for the NITs where biotechnology is good. You will get a good NIT. But think twice before

If you go ahead with this, you can get a seat in NIT-Surthkal, but for the job, biotechnology is not good, it's only good for research.

You will get biotechnology in NIT-Warangal. Coming to the scope, if you are interested in research then you can opt for biotechnology. But if you are hoping to get a job in biotechnology field then better not to take it.

You can get biotechnology in the top NITs but there are very few placements for biotech even in the best of NITs and most of them usually go for research or higher studies in the US where there is a demand for biotechnology. You can get metallurgy and chemical too probably.
