Comparing the previous year ranks with 1096 rank you have high chance in getting ece or EEE or mech

You didn't mentioned which stream you got that rank. If it's stream1 you may get any branch In sastra Thanjavur as closing rank of 1st round counselling is 801 . But you won't get ECE with your rank. But you may have chance to get electrical related courses but not sure you can try
