Dear Akhil, You need 50% in graduation to appear for CAT. You need to have 90 plus percentile for admission to a good IIM. In case, you fail to get this percentile, try for admission in private universities like Lovely, Manipal, VIT, where other than the CAT/ MAT/ XAT tests they offer you admission

It's your choice, you might go for CAT, but most of the IIMS see academic records, for the top 3 IIMS. You have to score 90/90/80, in your class 10th, class 12th and B.Tech respectively. But, for safe side, you have to score at least 99 percentile.

Actually brother, I am pursuing B.Com (final year). Is there any competitive exam that I can write in which doesn't consider 10th and 12th much.

Yes, you may attempt it. But, you may get top ranked colleges, as they look for decent and consistent academic records. Instead, try to get some work experience, and then go for MBA. This would nullify the academic criteria to some extent.
