Yes he can get. It's based on your SASTRA rank i.e 0.25 of your JEE main marks and 0.75 marks of your 12th aggregate percentage. The result rank will be released on June 9.

Admission in SASTRA University is purely based on the merit. The university takes 70% students from JEE (Main) score and +2 marks, and remaining 30% from +2 marks only. So in your case you scores 72 marks in JEE (Main) and 91.8% in +2. University will provide you the 25% weightage for JEE (Main) and 75% weightage for +2 marks, so your aggregate will be 72x0.25+91.8*0.75= 86.85. In my opinion your chances are bright. Good luck.
