My son got appx 8500 ranking in gate 2011. where he can get admission in good institute

His stream is Mechanical.He belongs to OBC category. Can he get admission in iit or good nit. If yes in which institute he should apply.

Hi Naren, Kindly mention your son's score as well, because most of the institutes often provide and expected cut off based on the scores and not the ranks. One can only provide you an assumed figure and nothing in accuracy as the ranks accepted by the institutes are unexpected and expect to change
