My son has 83 %ile in JEE Mains but PUC result is 59%. Which IIIT or NIT can I get?

<p>Based on his 83 percentile in JEE Mains and a 59% in his PUC (Pre-University Course), it would look difficult to get admission in any top NITs or IIITs because they generally have very high cut-offs for admission. Considering this percentile and also if he is under the General category, there is still a chance to get into some new NITs or IIITs or to get to branches that have a little lesser preference.</p><p>Here are few options:&nbsp;</p><p>Newer NITs like NIT Goa, NIT Nagaland, NIT Meghalaya, NIT Puducherry would have lower cutoffs.</p><p>IIITs like IIIT Sri City, IIIT Kalyani, or IIIT Dharwad could offer opportunities depending on the branch.</p><p>Consider less competitive branches such as Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Biotechnology at these institutes.<br>Moreover, reservation based on categories (OBC, SC, ST, etc.) would certainly enhance the chances. So, you always stay updated with the cycle of JoSAA counselling regarding cutoff trends.</p>
