My son has got 5800 rank in IPU . His rank in VIT is 40000 and in Manipal his rank will be around 7000. Please advise the best option.

According to me, the preference of colleges should be in the following order. 1 Manipal 2 VIT 3 IPU colleges. You should give preference to branch over college. For eg. Your son wants CSE. As far as I know Manipal and VIT both have good placement records for the branches in demand like CSE, mechanical, civil, electrical and the like.
