It is advisable to purse a course that is aligned to one's interest areas and long term career goals. I presume his interest in finance has made him opt for Specialisation in Finance. MBA finance has tremendous scope. This qualification can give you career options in Banks, NBFCs, Credit rating agencies, AMC. Capital market, IB, PE, Micro finance, Financial planning, academics, accounts, corporate finance. With a B.Pharma degree he can explore a career in Equity Research & comfortably track the Pharma & fine chemicals sector. An MBA finance professionals are also among the higher paid professionals.

    Hi Kumar N,
MBA in Pharma Management could have been a better choice as per the graduation subject because here subjects are entirely different from what you have studied so far. Switching the field is a little bit difficult and at the time of placements, he will have to convince the recruiter with a valid reason why he switched from pharmacy to finance.
