My son is studying in 11th (science) and he is interested in research. What are the career options for him?

He is preparing for JEE as well.

    For research institute, I would say he should go for B.Sc. If interested or IISc, B.Tech, IISER. To apply for B.Sc. In good Institution he needs score above 80% in 12th. And for other Courses like IISc and IISER he have to clear JEE Mains and Advanced both to get into IISc or IISER. For B.Tech, passing in JEE Mains is still okay. But for good College like IIT and NIT he have to clear Advanced or score above 150 in JEE.

    First, let him complete his 12th and then motivate him to score good in JEE so that he can land up in IISc, IISER and IITs. There, he can explore various options and then after that, he can go for M.Tech and research work even abroad.
