    Your son might not be eligible to pursue a Diploma in astronomy right after class 10th. To pursue a Diploma in astronomy, candidates are required to clear class 12th. How to become an Astronomer? To become an Astronomer, a Ph.D. degree is compulsory. First, you have to complete your 10+2 examination under the Science stream, especially in Mathematics and Physics. After that, you can join an undergraduate course in Astronomy. You can join for an honors/major in Physics with Mathematics as a secondary subject.
