My son studying 10th standard, he wants to do Space Technology. Which Engineering Branch he has to choose? Please advise.
My son studying 10th standard CBSE syllabus in Narayana IIT Concept School, Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. He want to do job in NASA. He is very interested in Space Technology. Which Elective Branch he has to choose in Engineering. Please provide relevant Engineering Colleges list.

After 12th he should appear the entrance examination of IIST or else he can join Aerospace engineering IIT Bombay or he can pursue Mechanical / Electrical/CS Engineering from a reputed college and pursue masters in Space technology related areas. Like Control System , Space Avionics etc

The starting point to go into space technology is to study Aeronautical Engineering. You should regoster him for B. tech course in Aeronautical Engineering. cryogenic engines are an important aspect of Space technology. To specialise for that opne should take Mechanical engieering at UG level.
