My son would like to take admission direct in 2nd year. Does he need to apply for CET?

My son has completed his Diploma in mechanical engg. (3 years).

    To get direct admission in engineering degree course in second year on the basis of Polytechnic Diploma, it is not required to appear for CET. He will be admitted based on the marks obtained in Diploma.
