My UPES counselling is on June 1 2018 & counselling start from May 31 2018- June 15 2018.

What do you think counselling date is decided by rank?

    Yes, it is decided on the basis of rank. But there are some chances that you will get petroleum engineering.
    This time, they are not telling the rank beforehand. They will tell you if you will go for counselling or not. So there are more chances to get petroleum than before.

    Hello Anurag,
    First of all, counselling is a step holding the only point of your admission to a specific branch in any college. Your rank is unique so whatever the date you get hardly matters because it is not going to change. And yes, the dates are given according to your rank. As the students with low ranks are preferred to choose their branch first then the rest have the opportunity. As your counselling is on the second day, you are also amongst the preferred ones as a single day seeks only 2000-3000 change of rank.
