Hi Music is not offered as a specialisation at B.Ed. and in fact to be a music teacher, B.Ed is not the criteria. B.Ed is offered in school subjects only like Social Science, Languages, Science and mathematics. As per NCTE guideline, two methodology subjects are taught at B.Ed level and it becomes applicable to all B.Ed colleges in India. The subjects are: School level: Regional Language/Mother Tongue, English, Mathematics, Science, Social Sciences, discipline-specific subjects at the senior secondary level (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Commerce etc.) For the music teacher position, your wife should be honours or PG in concerned subject i.e. music. The admission process in B.Ed. has started.For details you can contact Rabindra Bharati University.But to do a B.Ed. degree a candidate must scored 50% or more in Graduation level.
