Hi,
****PhD is most advisable.
The eligibility criteria varies for every institute. However the basic requirement is a Masters degree or an equivalent degree in the relevant discipline.
Some of the institutes conduct entrance exams and some of them require at least two Research Publications for the PhD programs. Some also require work experience of a couple of years.
Candidates desirous of earning a PhD in a particular area should exhibit deep understanding and maturity in that area.

As per your profile pursuing Phd would be the best option for you as it will further enhance your teaching career.
