I would recommend that as you study for your 10+2, you start practicing sketching to begin with. Try to observe things closely and sketch them. You can also buy good sketch books from the market for sketching including shading, shadows, and human figures. However, soon you may have to upgrade to more serious books like "The Animator's Survival Kit" by Richards William. You could also study composition by reading "Composing Pictures" by Don Graham. Later on you may take up a Degree (multimedia and animation). Arena also offers such a Degree. If you like this answer you may select it as best answer or press like.

Hi Rashi, Nice to know your interest in the stream of animation, to talk about the details related to the course i would suggest you to take up graduation program after completing your 12th class, The graduation should be affiliated from UGC and AICTE. Now to talk about the course see there are lots of institutes which are offering animation degree and which will become confusing for you when you will visit the institute and every institute will attract you with the commitments and promises so be sure and do lot of RnD before joining a particular institute. THERE ARE MANY TYPE OF COURSE IN THIS LINE LIKE YOU CAN START FROM BASIC COURSE IF YOU ARE DOING SCHOOLING AT THIS TIME LIKE PHOTOSHOP, AFTER THAT FLASH , SOME FUNCTION FOR MAKE DESIGNING, AFTER THAT SCRIPTING USED IN THIS LINE ETC YOU CAN ALSO DO bsc IN ANIMATION AFTER COMPLETE SCHOOLING IF YOU WANT TO DO MORE IN THIS LINE AND WILLING TO MAKE FUTURE IN THIS LINE

Allright,that is a vast thing to do.You have decided right because only animation is not sufficient in the industry these days. Now for all these courses one thing you need in common is Sketching and Modeling.In animation you need more of flowing arts where as in gaming and comics what you need is cool concepts.If the player likes it,it's cool.Animation and Gaming is very different field though. In animation you would be prioratizing animating objects and models,where as in Gaming you would be focusing more on Designing characters and Game engines like CRY,SHIVA,Unity,UNREAL.In comics you are going to have to lean more towards Sketching and textering.In VFX everything is about effects.In my opinion it's the most software based field between the four you have mentioned. But,mostly you should go over the internet for yourself to find out about all these.
